Chart Hills was designed by Sir Nick Faldo and has received many fantastic accolades like the Rolex Top 1000 Courses in the World, as well as in the top 100 courses in Great Britain and Ireland within several renowned golfing journals. Chart Hills has regularly played host to a number of high profile golfing events like European Tour Qualifying School and hosted the Ladies European Tour and Ladies English Open.

At present Chart Hills are working hard to restore and renovate the golf course in order to maintain its high standards. At EcoBunker, we are very pleased to be part of this process and with the results that Course Manager – Neil Lowther and his team have achieved. After initial training from our Construction Director Llewellyn Matthews, Neil and his enthusiastic team have been steadily converting their bunkers. 

Although Chart Hills is not a Links Course it plays very similar in many ways with a mixture of links-style revetted bunkers, but most of its bunkers are built with splash faces and a retain EcoBunker Edge this will give a firm, resilient edge that will resist all forms of natural erosion and burrowing animals. Once complete these bunkers will lock the design in for many years to come.
